1. Is it safe to use Power Service diesel fuel additives in diesel particulate filters, diesel oxidation catalysts and/or EGR engines?
Yes, use of Power Service diesel additives is safe for use in all diesel engines.

2. Will use of
Power Service diesel additives void my
manufacturer’s warranty?
No, when used as directed on
the container label, use of Power Service diesel additives
will not void any engine manufacturer’s warranty. Power
Service is the largest manufacturer of diesel fuel additives
in the USA and our products are used most often by diesel
engine owners. Additionally, our products are sold through
many Original Engine Manufacturer (OEM) dealers and service
centers.

3. Do Power
Service diesel additives contain alcohol?
The only product manufactured
by Power Service that contains the type of non-harmful
alcohols recommended by engine manufacturers for removal of
water is Power Service Diesel 911. Diesel 911, as its name
implies, is used to solve the fuel emergencies diesel engine
operators most commonly encounter. In winter, Diesel 911 reliquefies gelled fuel and de-ices frozen fuel-filters in a
matter of minutes, eliminating the need for a tow truck.
Diesel 911 also removes water from the fuel system to
prevent icing problems and extend the life of fuel-filters,
fuel injection pumps and fuel injectors.
No other Power Service
product contains any alcohols of any kind, including Power
Service Diesel Fuel Supplement +Cetane Boost and Diesel Kleen
+Cetane Boost.

4. What is the
difference between Diesel Fuel Supplement +Cetane
Boost and Diesel Kleen +Cetane Boost?
Diesel Fuel Supplement® +Cetane
Boost® is our antigel product – it provides superior
protection for cold-weather operability. This is the product
to use during the winter months to prevent fuel gelling down
to -40°F. and equal the performance of a 50/50 blend of No.
2 and No. 1 diesel fuels.
Diesel Fuel Supplement +Cetane Boost also contains a
detergent package to keep fuel injectors clean and a cetane
boost of up to 4 numbers for faster cold starts, smoother
and quieter engine operation with more power, less smoke and
increased MPG. It also contains our proprietary Slickdiesel® lubricator to protect fuel injectors and pumps
against accelerated wear from Low and Ultra Low Sulfur
Diesel (ULSD) fuels.
Diesel Kleen® +Cetane Boost®
is the product to use in the non-winter months for maximum
engine performance. Diesel Kleen +Cetane Boost
does NOT
contain an antigel and will NOT prevent fuel from gelling.
However, Diesel Kleen has a more concentrated detergent
package to clean dirty injectors and reduce exhaust
emissions up to 50 percent. Diesel Kleen provides a larger
cetane boost than Diesel Fuel Supplement, up to 6 numbers,
for smoother quieter engine operation with more power, less
smoke and increased MPG up to 8 percent.
Diesel Kleen also contains our proprietary Slickdiesel®
lubricator to protect fuel injectors and pumps against
accelerated wear from Low and Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel (ULSD)
fuels.

5. Will it hurt
my engine to use Diesel Fuel Supplement +Cetane
Boost year-around, even though it contains an antigel for
winter operation?
Diesel Fuel Supplement +Cetane
Boost will not hurt or harm any diesel motor if used
year-around. Diesel Fuel Supplement is a multi-functional
additive that has been on the market for over 40 years and
has a proven record of excellent performance by thousands of
diesel fuel users.

6. Can I use
your products in gasoline?
Our diesel fuel additives are
specially formulated to be used in diesel fuel. We do not
recommend the use of our diesel fuel additives in gasoline.

7. What is the
shelf life of Power Service diesel additives?
Our products will last
indefinitely in a sealed container.

8. What is +Cetane Boost® and what does it do for my engine?
+Cetane Boost is a powerful
energy compound that improves the ignition quality of fuel.
There is a direct relationship between a diesel fuel’s cetane number and its ignition point. Delayed ignition is a
primary cause of increased emissions and inferior engine
performance. The lower the cetane number, the longer the
ignition delay. Fuels with high cetane numbers burn more
quickly and more completely, resulting in smoother running
engines with less power lag, reduced emissions and easier
engine starting.
+Cetane Boost® is a component
of our Diesel Fuel Supplement and Diesel Kleen products that
serves to boost the cetane number of untreated fuel. Diesel
Fuel Supplement provides a cetane boost up to 4 numbers,
while Diesel Kleen boosts cetane up to 6 numbers.

9. What is Slickdiesel®
and what does it do for my engine?
Slickdiesel is a proprietary
Power Service diesel fuel lubricity additive that is added
to many of our products to increase the lubrication
properties of diesel fuel. This increase in lubricity will
increase the life of fuel pumps and injectors. The fuel pump
manufacturers (Bosch, Delphi, Denso, Siemens and Stanadyne)
consider fuel lubricity to be the most crucial property of
diesel fuel as it relates to reduction of pump and injector
wear. The Engine Manufacturer Association (EMA) has stated
that, “Shortened life of engine components such as fuel
injection pumps and unit injectors usually can be ascribed
to a lack of fuel lubricity and hence is a concern to engine
manufacturers.” Slickdiesel meets the new ASTM HFRR 520
Lubricity Specifications for the United States and the more
stringent European Specification of 460 in most fuels.

10. I am
concerned about Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel (ULSD) fuel,
do you have a product recommendation?
Diesel Fuel Supplement +Cetane
Boost is the product of choice during the winter months due
to its superior antigel formulation. Diesel Kleen +Cetane
Boost is to be used in the non-winter months for peak engine
performance (no antigel component). Both of these products
contain the Power Service proprietary Slickdiesel®
lubricator that provides maximum lubricity protection to
pumps and injectors against wear caused by Low or Ultra Low
Sulfur Diesel (ULSD) fuel. Slickdiesel
meets the new ASTM
HFRR 520 Lubricity Specifications for the United States and
the more stringent European Specification of 460 in most
fuels.

11. Will Arctic
Express Biodiesel Antigel work in a B100
fuel?
Arctic Express Biodiesel Antigel 1:500, effectively treats
biodiesel blends up to a B20 (20% biodiesel) for Cold-Filter
Plugging Point (CFPP) and Pour Point reduction. It is not
designed for use in biodiesel blends that exceed 20%.
Arctic
Express Biodiesel Antigel will not effectively treat a B100
fuel.

12. Can I buy
your products online?
No, Power Service products
are not available for online purchase. Due to the chemical
nature of our products, we are unable to ship small
quantities in a cost efficient manner.
